CHANGE OF DIRECTORS

The Board of Directors (the "Board") of APT Satellite Holdings Limited (the "Company") hereby announces that Mr. Xie Gao Jue resigned as the Chairman and a non-executive director of the Company with effect from 1st June, 1998. The Board would like to thank Mr. Xie Gao Jue and express its appreciation for his contribution and services to the Company.

The Board also announces that Mr. Liu Ji Yuan was appointed as the Chairman and a non-executive director of the Company, Mr. Zhang Jia De and Mr. Zhou Ze He as the Vice-Chairman and non-executive directors of the Company with effect from 8th June, 1998. Mr. He Ke Rang continues to be the Vice-Chairman, executive director and President of the Company. The Company warmly welcome Mr. Liu Ji Yuan, Mr. Zhang Jia De and Mr. Zhou Ze He joining the Board of the Company.
