APSTAR-6C satellite shipped to launch site

Xichang, 9 March 2018 – Apstar-6C satellite has been shipped to Xichang Qingshan Airport and transferred to Xichang Satellite Launch Centre smoothly. APSTAR 6C is ready to enter the launch campaign phase, current launch date is set in the second half of Apr 2018. APSTAR 6C will be replacing in-orbit APSTAR 6 satellite.

About Apstar-6C:

APSTAR-6C is based on DFH-4 platform and developed by China Academy of Space Technology (CAST),which is equipped with transponders in C, Ku, and Ka bands, providing high power transponder services to customers across the Asia-Pacific region, for VSAT, video distribution, DTH, cellular backhaul and mobility broadband applications.
