Release Time: Jul 09,2024 Page Views:21次

On 9 July 2024,  APSTAR-6E satellite successfully reached the 134° East longitude orbital slot where it will operate in collocation with APSTAR-6C and APSTAR-6D satellites.

APSTAR-6E is a geostationary orbit satellite based on the DFH-3E platform. An associated company of APT Satellite, namely APSTAR Alliance Satcom Limited, owns the APSTAR-6E satellite; it also commits APT Satellite to conduct daily operations for the satellite.

The satellite was launched from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center on 13 January 2023, after which it completed an orbital maneuver to an intermediate orbit. Then, it relied on the onboard ion and hall thrusters to perform orbital raising maneuvers, ultimately reaching geostationary orbit. APSTAR-6E provides highly cost-effective high-throughput satellite capacities. It will support economic development and help bridge the digital divide in the region.
